Payne Road State School’s “Senior Enviro Club” have used their lunch break to protect our environment. With a lot of effort, they collected bucketloads of litter and potential recyclables from across the school grounds, as well as their local park, in order to keep their environment safe, tidy, and wildlife friendly.
On Sunday, 1st March, Ambassadors Theo, Leon, Sunday, and Willa, along with their families and Mrs. McMahon, went down to Alfred & Lucina Best Park, The Gap and worked together to clean up along the creek line. The group removed a considerable amount of rubbish, including plastic packaging, straws, and silicone. Their efforts helped prevent this trash from reaching our waterways and entering the catchment. Talk about community legends!
